Life At Georgia

I have now been in Georgia for more than three weeks which is absolutely crazy! Being here has been such a blessing with God always just being around me and showing me how to live a life with him.

Each weekday we have devotions and teaching till 12pm. This time is filled with so much learning and time to just read the Word in a whole new way. After this we have time to do whatever we want till 3. This looks like simply being with God, reading a good book, playing games and being with friends or simply passing out on the floor, because your tent flooded or you spent a night praying and you didn’t get any sleep! After this time we have two more hours of teachings. The last thing we do every night is team time! Team time is where all the guys on my squad get together and we just catch up and talk about how we can grow together. This is such a good time. this brings us all together in unity and teaches us to be vulnerable and honest together.

Saturday’s and Sunday’s we Sabbath. These days we spend time with God all day. During this time we don’t have anywhere we have to be or anything we have to do, except have two days to rest and be with the lord, THESE DAYS ARE AWESOME!!

Being with the Lord this much has really started to show me what it looks like to abide with our father, and why it is so important. Abiding bring closeness and intimacy in a way that is so beautiful. The more time we spend the more we will want to be with him, and the more we want to be with him the more we learn to be like him. After we start to be with him and like him, Jesus really starts to disclose himself to you!

John 14:21
“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

God had given us such a blessing in the fact that if we chase him and abide with him, than he will start to show himself and is that not ASTOUNDING? I mean God, the Holy One, the Ancient of Days, my Father will show himself to me! There is nothing that is that amazing.

So I just wanted to share and say that God wants us to abide with him, because he wants to disclose himself to us. I encourage you to keep seeking, invite him into every part of your day. When waking up just ask him to be with you, when walking to you car give him adoration/gratitude and instead of using your phone. To rest just lay back and ask God to cover you with his presence and rest, there is nothing as restful as that!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
??Matthew? ?7:7-8

If we seek God he is faithful to show up, if you ask to grow he is faithful to help you and walk you through the pain of growth.
Our God is faithful and beautiful, so abide all you can and you will see his Glory!

  1. Luke, the Lord walked me into a greater, more committed observance of Sabbath a few years ago, and my life has never been the same. My family will tell you I am a different person from before. YES! Keep abiding. Protect and treasure and relish Sabbath not just in this season, but for all of your days. The blessings of the Father abound when we just rest in and with Him. Happy Sabbath.
